Affordable Kitchen Updates Idea #1: Stenciled Backsplash & Wallpaper
There are so many fun and creative ways you can make a faux backsplash look incredible. And using a stencil can help it look professionally done! I’ve included a few of my favorite stenciled backsplash and wallpaper projects below, and you can find the stencils I used in each post!
Here are a few more stencils that would work great for a backsplash!
Affordable Kitchen Updates Idea#2: Cabinet Hardware
People vastly underestimate the power of simply changing their cabinet hardware. Not only is it incredibly simple, but it can totally change the look of the space. You can get hardware on Amazon in bulk very inexpensively. Just make sure you get the correct size of handles. Most standard pulls are 3-4″, center to center. To measure your hardware, measure the distance from one hole to the other.
All you need to change the hardware is a screwdriver. It’s so simple! Here is some of the cabinet hardware I have in my home.
Idea #3: Under-Mount Motion Lighting
Under-mount motion lighting is lighting that you place under the upper cabinets or under the toe kicks on the lower cabinets. When it senses motion, they automatically turn on. These are placed where you cannot see them, but when they turn on, they completely transform the vibe of the room.
The lights do not have to be hard-wired, so no need to hire an electrician. They simply magnet on, and they are rechargeable. The battery lasts so long, so I do not have to change the batteries very often. When you do need to charge them, THIS one comes with a charging station, so you can charge three at a time! The lights I got also come with a remote and a timer, so if you don’t like the functionality of the motion sensor, you can turn them on and off at the same time with the remote.
