Helpful Notes for Your Cake Mix Cinnamon Rolls:
- Use a small 9-oz cake mix box, or you can use 3/4 of a regular-sized box (approximate).
- Cook until the rolls are light brown on top.
- Use a meat thermometer to check the water temperature so you don’t kill the yeast.
- Use unwaxed dental floss or thread to cut the cinnamon rolls perfectly.
- While a KitchenAid mixer with a dough hook is helpful, you can stir by hand if you want!
- And here’s a KitchenAid-compatible dough hook if you have the mixer, but not the hook.
